DMADV
DMADV is a process defined by Motorola as part of their Six Sigma management philosophy. DMADV is applied to new processes to make sure that they achieve Six Sigma quality. Six Sigma sets extremely ambitious goals to minimize the occurrence of flaws in products and services.
It is an acronym that stands for Defining, Measuring, Analyzing, Designing, and Verifying, the five phases of the Design for Six Sigma approach. Based on the Six Sigma methodology for improving existing processes, the DMADV process is used to generate new processes according to the same principles of efficiency and minimization of defects.
